A public meeting was held on 23rd October 2016 in Shaheed Udham Singh Hall in Gohana on the issue of: Stop war hysteria, give us food, provide education, provide medical treatment. The meeting was organised by Jan Sangharsh Manch Haryana and Samatamoolak Mahila Sangathan.

Dr.C.D. Sharma, Dr. Sunita Tyagi, lecturer Sateesh Bharadwaj, student leader of the Maharshi Dayanand University – Jaswinder Singh, teacher – Ritu, Dr. Bansiram Gaud, Ramesh Agarwal, Naresh Virodhia and several others addressed the meeting.

All the speakers unequivocally condemned the war hysteria created by the government across the country. Everywhere in the country, workers, peasants, women and youth are fighting for their basic rights. Working people are fed up with the anti-worker, anti-peasant and anti-social programme. In this situation, the bourgeoisie and its government are trying to create a spectre of war across the country in a very organized way. Their attempt is to weaken the struggles of the workers, peasants and working people.

This meeting decided that a massive demonstration will be organized against war hysteria on 14th November. Thousands of workers and peasants are being organized to participate in this demonstration.

Working class representatives from all over the country are gathering on 4th September, at a time when a titanic struggle is going on in our country. The struggle is between the majority of toiling and exploited people and a minority of exploiters. It is between the majority whose labour expands wealth and the minority who enjoy the fruits of wealth creation on the basis of their private property and positions of power.
