A two-day State Education Conference of the Rajasthan Shikshak Sangh (Pragatisheel) {Rajasthan Teacher's Union (Progressive) was held on 20-21 October 2016 in Kudi Bhagatasani Housing Board Community Centre in Jodhpur. More than 900 delegates from villages and hamlets of various districts took part in this conference. It was attended by teachers, professors in charge of administration, educationists, guest teachers, new teachers, motivators, contract workers and others concerned about education, working in school education departments and projects of Rajasthan government.

According to news reports, three mining and hydel projects have been given approval earlier this year, by the Forest Advisory Committee (FAC) of the environment ministry of the central government, in areas in the vicinity of wildlife zones, including a tiger and an elephant habitat. This has greatly agitated activists working for conservation of wildlife and the people living in those areas.

Condemn the continuing reign of terror against the Kashmiri people!

The Central government is continuing on the course of trying to crush the revolt of the Kashmiri people against state terrorism and for their national rights by brute force. This is clear from the fact that the armed forces of the Indian state have escalated their reign of terror on the people of Kashmir. They have viciously targeted entire areas of various towns, in the name of catching “militants”. This can be seen from the experience of the people of Baramulla town.


Public Meeting in Gohana, Haryana to oppose the war hysteria

A public meeting was held on 23rd October 2016 in Shaheed Udham Singh Hall in Gohana on the issue of: Stop war hysteria, give us food, provide education, provide medical treatment. The meeting was organised by Jan Sangharsh Manch Haryana and Samatamoolak Mahila Sangathan.

Dr.C.D. Sharma, Dr. Sunita Tyagi, lecturer Sateesh Bharadwaj, student leader of the Maharshi Dayanand University – Jaswinder Singh, teacher – Ritu, Dr. Bansiram Gaud, Ramesh Agarwal, Naresh Virodhia and several others addressed the meeting.


Militant struggle of the workers of Daikin, Neemrana

Workers of Daikin organized a protest demonstration and rally at Ambedkar Park in Neemrana in Rajasthan on 23rd October.

Daikin’s air conditioner manufacturing unit is in the industrial district of Neemrana. This is the only plant where an air conditioner is manufactured every 25 seconds. The workers at this plant have been trying to form a union since several years. The management has been continuously attacking the leadership of the workers.


Meeting of Lok Raj Sangathan

A public meeting was organized in Shashi Garden neighbourhood of Patparganj in East Delhi on 16th October. Hundreds of residents of neighbouring colonies participated in this meeting. Local youth activists of Lok Raj Sangathan undertook the responsibility of dealing with all the issues relating to organizing the meeting.

100 years ago Ghadar Party was formed by Indians in the US.It was historic milestone in our anti-colonial struggle.
