Prosperity and security, livelihood and dignity for all!

A public meeting was organized in Shashi Garden neighbourhood of Patparganj in East Delhi on 16th October. Hundreds of residents of neighbouring colonies participated in this meeting. Local youth activists of Lok Raj Sangathan undertook the responsibility of dealing with all the issues relating to organizing the meeting.

Addressing the meeting, the speaker of Communist Ghadar Party of India congratulated the activists of Lok Raj Sangathan for organizing such a wonderful meeting. He pointed out that the bourgeoisie divided the people on the basis of caste, religion and ideology of political parties. However, the people should overcome every kind of political division among them and unite to fight for their rights.  The poor are getting poorer while the bourgeoisie is being counted among the world’s biggest capitalists due to the plunder and increasing exploitation of the working class. All bourgeois political parties, like Congress and the BJP, work as managers of the bourgeoisie. Elections are used to fool the people into thinking that they have selected their representative by voting for them. This in the context of people not having the right to vote, nor to select its candidates, nor the right to recall, nor the right to take a decision in the interests of the people, nor take any policy decision. There is no change in the condition of the people because as soon as one political party gets exposed another political party is brought in to form the government.

At this time, some 2 lakh capitalists under the leadership of some 150 big industrial houses. Like in colonial days, some 50,000 Britishers used to rule over 35 crore Indians, these 150 monopolies rule over 125 crore people. She said that we must put an end to this capitalist system and establish worker peasant rule. For this we must get organized and step up the struggle in defence of our rights.

The Delhi Secretary of Lok Raj Sangathan – Birju Nayak pointed out in his speech that nothing had been done for the people of Delhi, though much had been promised. Their problems are not getting resolved. On the other hand, the governments of Delhi and at the Centre are raising a new issue everyday for altercation. The elected government has done nothing for the people.

He appealed to the people to join Lok Raj Samitis notwithstanding which party they belong to.  In the current situation, people do not have any political rights. He added that people have no political rights except casting their vote once every five years. This is why people must get organized and fight for their rights.

On this occasion, quiz, essay and drawing competitions were organized among the youth. Hundreds of young girls and boys participated in these competitions. The participants who came among the top three were felicitated with prizes.

The Lok Raj Samiti of Sashi Garden was established at this meeting.

The meeting was presided over by Chandrasekhar and the concluding speech was given by Rupesh Kumar. The meeting was also addressed by Sumit Kumar and Anil Yadav. Everyone talked about further strengthening our organization and that people have to be organised for waging the struggle for their rights.

At the end of the meeting, Samagra Natya Samooh presented humourous poems and created a joyous finale to the meeting.

Call of the Central Committee of Communist Ghadar Party of India, 30th August, 2012

Working class representatives from all over the country are gathering on 4th September, at a time when a titanic struggle is going on in our country. The struggle is between the majority of toiling and exploited people and a minority of exploiters. It is between the majority whose labour expands wealth and the minority who enjoy the fruits of wealth creation on the basis of their private property and positions of power.
